Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve already paid for this app. Can I use it on another Mac, iPhone, or iPad without paying again

Yes, no need to pay again. Once you’ve purchased the app for a specific platform, you can use it on additional devices as long as you’re signed in with the same Apple ID on all of them. However, please note that the apps for Mac and iOS (iPad and iPhone) are separate and must be purchased individually for each platform.

I’ve purchased the app for Mac, can I use it on my iPad or iPhone as well?

Unfortunately, no. Each app has been developed and optimized separately for its respective platform, with features tailored to the specific capabilities of Mac, iPhone, and iPad. Therefore, there are two distinct apps. One for the Mac, the other for iPad and iPhone, and they must be purchased individually.

I have multiple FlexRadios. Can I use the app with more than one?

Yes, you can use the app with multiple transceivers, but you can only connect and control one transceiver at a time.

Can I use external software like FLdigi or WSJT-X with SDR-Control for Icom?

Yes, the macOS app includes a built-in CAT server, enabling it to interface with any software that supports network-based CAT control, such as RigCtl/Hamlib or Icom and Kenwood CAT protocols over the network. You can also use selectable audio devices for full integration. However, this feature is not available in the iOS apps.

Is it difficult to set up the app?

Not at all! The setup process is straightforward and easy to follow. The app includes a detailed manual with step-by-step instructions, complete with illustrations to guide you through each part of the setup process. You can also find the manual in the “Resources” section further above on this website.

What if I encounter difficulties setting up the app and the radio?

If you run into any issues, don’t worry! The app manual (available in the “Resources” section above) includes a “Common Issues” section to help you troubleshoot. Additionally, you can always reach out for support, and I’ll be happy to assist you in person.
